How Synovetin OA ® Works

How Synovetin OA ® Works

Synovetin OA ® works by targeting inflammation inside the joint, the root cause of arthritis pain. With a single injection performed in our hospital, many dogs experience up to one year of improved comfort and mobility.

Unlike traditional arthritis medications that must be given daily, Synovetin OA ® is a one-time treatment that delivers targeted therapy directly to the affected joint(s).

Understanding Canine Osteoarthritis

Understanding Canine Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis in dogs is a common, progressive joint condition that occurs when cartilage within a joint gradually breaks down. Cartilage normally acts as a cushion between bones. As it deteriorates, the bones begin to rub against each other, causing pain, inflammation, and reduced mobility.

Many pet owners first notice arthritis when their dog is older, but the condition often starts much earlier in life. Arthritis progresses slowly over time, so the early signs can be subtle and easy to overlook. Young dogs develop osteoarthritis primarily due to underlying developmental joint diseases, injuries, or genetic predispositions. The good news is that dogs usually do better when arthritis is recognized and treated early. Starting treatment sooner can help slow the progression of the disease, prevent pain, and keep dogs more comfortable and active for longer.
