Tiffany Kim

Dr. Tiffany Kim earned her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Sciences from Northwestern University before completing a Master of Science in Conservation Biology and a Master of Public Policy in Environmental Policy at the University of Maryland. Before pursuing veterinary medicine, she built a career in wildlife conservation, completing internships with organizations including the World Wildlife Fund, Defenders of Wildlife, and the Humane Society of the United States' Wildlife Division, and later working on Baltimore's iconic Mr. Trash Wheel initiative. She went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2026.

In June 2026, Dr. Kim joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists as a Rotating Intern, where she is expanding her clinical training across a wide range of specialty and emergency services. She has a strong passion for zoo and aquatic medicine and hopes to pursue board certification in the specialty. During veterinary school, she gained valuable experience through clinical rotations at Shedd Aquarium, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, the National Aquarium, and the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. She also developed a special interest in elephant endotheliotropic herpesvirus hemorrhagic disease (EEHV-HD) through research conducted in collaboration with the Houston Zoo and Baylor College of Medicine.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Kim enjoys musical theater, rock climbing, and hiking. She shares her home with her two cats, Margo and Queenie.
