Dr. Sandy Chen is a dynamic veterinary neurologist with a global background in veterinary medicine. Dr. Chen earned their DVM from National Taiwan University and practiced as a general practitioner in Taiwan before moving to the U.S., where they passed the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) certification. Dr. Chen’s rotating internship at Washington State University sparked their passion for neurology. Dr. Chen then completed a specialty internship and residency at Bush Veterinary Neurology Service (BVNS) in Northern Virginia, staying on as a staff neurologist for two years. Now, Dr. Chen is starting an exciting chapter in Houston, eager to bring their extensive experience and compassionate care to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. Outside of work, Dr. Chen is a devoted foodie and a talented saxophonist, enjoying culinary adventures and music in their spare time.
