Samantha Trahan is a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) with a background in multi-specialty veterinary medicine and a passion for building strong, collaborative teams within specialty care. She earned her Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Veterinary Technology from Vet Tech Institute in Houston in 2011, where she further developed her foundation in patient care and clinical excellence.

Driven by her love of science and her commitment to advocating for those without a voice, Samantha has over a decade of experience in high-volume emergency and specialty settings before transitioning into talent development. Today, she focuses on supporting the people behind the medicine—helping to identify, develop, and retain the teams that make high-quality patient care possible.

In her current role, Samantha supports recruitment and onboarding and plays a key role in the coordination of externship, internship, and residency programs—leading externship initiatives while collaborating closely with program directors—helping to build and sustain a growing pipeline of future veterinary professionals while enhancing the overall employee experience.

 Outside of work, Samantha enjoys cooking and traveling with her husband, often seeking out new cultures and cuisines around the world. She shares her home with two dogs, two cats, and a horse in the country.
