Megan Harrison
Megan began her journey in veterinary medicine in 2012 while earning her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in History from the University of Houston. What started as a part-time local clinic job quickly became a lifelong passion. After graduating in 2015, she joined the Diagnostic Imaging team at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS), where she worked from 2016 to 2018.
After moving to Austin, Megan gained extensive experience in ER and ICU care at AVES and took on leadership roles at two local general practices. In 2023, she returned to Houston and rejoined GCVS as the Radiation and Medical Oncology supervisor, eventually stepping into a broader leadership role supporting multiple departments.
With a background spanning general practice, specialty, and emergency medicine, Megan brings a well-rounded perspective to her work. She is pursuing an MBA to further her growth as a veterinary leader. Outside the hospital, Megan enjoys live music, attending concerts, and rewatching
Supernatural. She shares her home with her beloved cat, Twinkie, and dog, Stella.
