Madison Kim

Madison Kim is a former NCAA Division I women’s tennis player who served as team captain for two years and previously competed on the ITF junior professional tennis circuit. She completed her collegiate tennis career at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences with Honors. Madison is in the process of completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine and will graduate in August 2026. In June 2026, Madison joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists as a Rotating Intern, where she is expanding her clinical training across a variety of specialty and emergency disciplines. She is also currently pursuing certification in veterinary acupuncture through CHI University’s Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine program.  

Growing up surrounded by animals and fascinated by physiology, Madison was drawn to veterinary medicine by its emphasis on lifelong learning, community education, and the ability to support animals and their owners through knowledge, compassion, and empathy. She is passionate about Small Animal Internal Medicine, with particular interests in kidney, respiratory, and cardiovascular diseases.  

Outside of the hospital, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, staying active, and spending quality time with friends and family. Her family’s two German Shepherds, Abbey and Oso, and horses reside back home in Northern California, and she looks forward to welcoming a cat to the family in the near future.
