Leah Douglas

Dr. Douglas, practice limited to diseases of the (animal) eye, was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Prairie View A&M University in 2018, followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2022.

Dr. Douglas completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Texas A&M University in 2023 and a Comparative Ophthalmology Residency at Purdue University in July 2026. Her clinical interests include cataract surgery and corneal procedures, with a particular passion for providing advanced ophthalmic care to veterinary patients.

Beyond veterinary medicine, Dr. Douglas enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, dancing, and exploring new cuisines. She is especially passionate about education and mentorship, and takes pride in educating veterinary students, referring veterinarians, and pet owners about the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care of their patients and pets.
