Dr. Joshua Wagner is from the foothills of North Carolina, where he earned a bachelor's degree in environmental and Evolutionary Biology from Appalachian State University. Following this, he explored veterinary medicine through hands-on experience in Emergency and Critical Care Specialty settings before earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University in 2024. It was in the explorations before vet school where he developed a passion for diagnostic imaging and its numerous applications. With an interest in image-guided procedures and interventional radiology, he completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania before arriving at Gulf Coast as a Diagnostic Imaging Intern in 2025. Outside of veterinary medicine, he enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and socializing over drinks.
