Dr. Hatfield was born and raised in La Grange, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medicine and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. After completion of veterinary school, Dr. Hatfield completed an equine surgical internship at Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, Oklahoma and a diagnostic imaging internship at Washington State University in Pulllman, Washington. He then went on to complete a residency in diagnostic imaging at Mississippi State University. During his residency, he also obtained a Master’s degree in Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Dr. Hatfield became board certified in 2020. Dr. Hatfield’s research focused on the use of computed tomography in the diagnosis and management of canine intestinal disease. His professional interests include computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and musculoskeletal ultrasound. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hatfield enjoys ranching, fly fishing, nature photography, and traveling.
