Avian & Exotics

Dr. Jessica Magnotti is a Board-Certified Avian Specialist and Certified Aquatic Veterinarian. She has practiced exclusively with exotic species since graduating from veterinary school, with advanced experience in their unique physiology and management.

Dr. Magnotti earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and completed advanced internship and residency training in avian and exotic animal medicine at Stahl Exotic Animal Veterinary Services. She is board-certified in Avian Practice through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners and is also a Certified Veterinarian through the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Magnotti is a published author and regular speaker at veterinary conferences. She enjoys mentoring visiting veterinarians and veterinary students, supporting the next generation of exotic animal practitioners. Her clinical interests include avian and exotic animal surgery and advanced diagnostic imaging. Her clinical approach emphasizes early recognition of subtle clinical changes in species that often mask illness, enabling timely and targeted intervention.

She is dedicated to compassionate, detail-oriented medicine and values strong partnerships with clients so they feel supported and actively involved in their pet’s treatment.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Magnotti enjoys birdwatching, 3D printing projects, and spending time with family and friends. She shares her home with her husband, Chris, and their pets, including parrots, reptiles, and their two dogs, Harold and Dory.
