Dr. Ian Evans completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and rotating internship all at Mississippi State University—Go Bulldogs! He recently joined GCVS in 2025 as a Surgery House Officer. 

Dr. Evans' journey into veterinary medicine began in undergrad, where he assisted surgery residents with research projects and quickly realized his fascination with the field. Inspired by the skill and compassion of the surgeons he worked alongside, Dr. Evans was drawn to the impact surgical care can have on both animals and their families. 

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Evans is always up for adventure. He's an avid disc golfer and soccer player, enjoys exploring national parks, and never passes up the chance to try a new restaurant or cuisine. At home, he's kept on his toes by his perfect pup Athena, his mischievous cat Ronald, and Lilith, his corn snake.
