Dr. Hannah Dion earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.  

Dr. Dion was inspired to pursue veterinary medicine because it combines everything she values: helping animals, solving complex medical problems, and committing to lifelong learning. Throughout her training, she is continually inspired by veterinarians who are passionate about both patient care and teaching. She was drawn to a career that would allow her to continuously grow, contribute to exceptional patient care, and help educate others along the way.  

In June 2026, she joined the GCVS Houston team as a Rotating Intern, gaining experience across a variety of specialty and emergency services. With a particular interest in diagnostic imaging and oncology, Dr. Dion is excited to further explore these specialties during her training at GCVS. 

Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, Dr. Dion is enjoying the opportunity to explore Houston and all it has to offer. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys reading, swimming, soaking up the sun by the pool, and spending time with her two cats, Pierre and Mocha.
