Gia Giaz

Dr. Gia Diaz received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Long Island University. She then completed a rotating internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City before joining Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists as a Surgery Specialty Intern in 2026.  

Dr. Diaz has a strong interest in minimally invasive surgical techniques and orthopedic surgery. She enjoys the challenge of surgery and is passionate about continuing to refine her skills to provide exceptional care for her patients and their families.  

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Diaz enjoys exploring Houston’s food scene, cheering on her favorite college football teams and the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, and watching Saturday Night Live. She is also an avid runner and completed several marathons during veterinary school. At home, she has a husky mix named Acuña — who she describes as “dramatic and perfect.”
