Emily Moore

Dr. Emily Moore earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston before receiving her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota. She then completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at Michigan State University. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Moore became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM).

In June 2026, Dr. Moore joined the Internal Medicine team at GCVS Houston. She enjoys the variety and diagnostic challenges that internal medicine provides and has a special interest in gastrointestinal disease, particularly protein-losing enteropathy (PLE), which was the focus of her residency research. She also enjoys respiratory medicine and is passionate about helping pets with complex medical conditions achieve the best possible quality of life.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Moore enjoys cheering on her favorite baseball teams, exploring Houston’s vibrant food scene, and spending time in the pottery studio. A native Houstonian, she is thrilled to be back in her hometown. She shares her home with Fiona, the cat she adopted at the beginning of her residency.
