Neurology & Neurosurgery

Dr. Elizabeth Jones is a veterinary neurologist who is passionate about improving mobility and enhancing her patients’ quality of life. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Jones earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee. She then completed a rotating internship at the University of Missouri, followed by a specialty internship in neurology at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. She went on to complete her neurology and neurosurgery residency at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Jones' clinical interests include seizure management, canine cervical spondylomyelopathy (Wobbler Syndrome), meningoencephalitis of unknown origin (MUO), spinal tumors, and intervertebral disc disease. Her dedication to neurology began in high school, when she worked with a veterinarian who treated many dachshunds with acute intervertebral disc herniations. Helping dogs regain the ability to walk remains one of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Jones enjoys birdwatching, antique shopping, and musical theater. She shares her home with Murray, her Scottish Terrier and self-appointed "office manager."
