Dr. Ashley Kerley grew up in Allen, Texas, where extracurriculars primarily revolved around showing sheep, agriculture issues, and veterinary science through FFA. It was Tarleton State University’s CDE Invitational that introduced her to the best-kept secret in Texas. She was a member of Tarleton’s Presidential Honors Program from 2012 to 2015 as she worked to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. After five years in various mixed and small animal general practices, she finally discovered her passion for emergency medicine as a veterinary technician in Abilene, Texas. She continued to strengthen her ECC foundation as an ICU technician at Texas A&M University’s Small Animal Hospital while she earned her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from 2017-2021. She served as a full-time emergency clinician within a 24/7 ECC facility in DFW before her move to Houston in June of 2023. Some of her specific professional interests include one-on-one critical care case management and complex internal medicine concepts. During her time off, she enjoys traveling the world with loved ones and spoiling her ninety-pound teddy bear named Remington.
