Alexa Frink
Diagnostic Imaging, Telemedicine
Dr. Alexa Frink grew up in Key Largo, Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University, then gained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After vet school, she went on to complete an equine internship at the Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida, followed by a small animal rotating internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. Following her passion for diagnostic imaging, she then completed a radiology residency at North Carolina State University and received her board certification in 2025.
Dr. Frink was drawn to diagnostic imaging because it allows her to help patients across all species and specialties, while supporting referring veterinarians and colleagues in guiding treatment and recovery. She is particularly interested in interventional imaging and looks forward to mentoring interns and residents in training.
Outside of work, Dr. Frink enjoys paddleboarding, exploring local bike trails, and spending as much time as possible outdoors. She shares her home with her dog, Kaiya, and her cat, Spyro, whom she adopted during her internship at GCVS.
