Patient Care Technician – Diagnostic Imaging

Are you a licensed veterinary technician with the desire to work in one of the best veterinary hospital environments in Houston? Then this may be the job for you!  Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is seeking an experience LVT to join our Diagnostic Imaging department. 

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is a referral only veterinary specialty practice that provides the highest quality, most comprehensive specialized care for companion animals using technologically advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment along with a group of dedicated veterinary specialists and staff.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for the right LVT whose background includes working with sedation and anesthesia administration to pets prior to diagnostic imaging . This is a fulltime position, working with a dynamic team of professionals using state of the art equipment in a hospital environment.  The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and be adaptable to quickly changing situations. The main job duties include patient restraint, data entry, assisting technicians, and general janitorial duties.

Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent). and a current Texas license as a Veterinary Technician.   Ability to work some nights, weekends and holidays is a must. Applicant must be reliable, able to work in a team environment, adaptable to quickly changing situations, and a self-starter. Good patient restraint and a loving disposition with animals is a must. Previous technician experience is preferred.
