Jimmi Forrest

With almost 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine—including more than six years in specialty and emergency care—Jimmi brings a deep passion for animal health and a strong foundation in critical care to GCVS. Her journey with animals started on the farm where she grew up, treating and vaccinating livestock alongside her family. That early hands-on experience sparked a lifelong interest in veterinary medicine, which only deepened when she volunteered at local shelters and clinics. Jimmi was hooked from the start and has never stopped learning since.  Jimmi thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys the complexity of critical cases, especially those that challenge her skills and allow opportunities for teaching. Jimmi enjoys sailboat racing, horseback riding, volunteering at church, and spending time with friends and family outside of work. She shares her life with a menagerie—three dogs, one cat, two horses, two donkeys, and four baby guineas. Each day in this field brings something new, and Jimmi is grateful to be part of it.
