Stanley Sowy, DVM (Practice Limited to Critical Care)
Dr. Stanley Sowy grew up in southern California and received his bachelor’s degree in biology in the University of California, Irvine in 2009 and then completed veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona in 2014. He completed a rigorous small animal rotating internship at the Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston Massachusetts and subsequently completed a joint internal medicine and emergency and critical care internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston. He recently completed a small animal emergency and critical care residency at Texas A&M University. During his residency, his research was focused on coagulation and microparticles. Dr. Sowy’s special interests include transfusion therapy, mechanical ventilation, coagulation, and small animal cardiopulmonary resuscitation education. In his spare time, he enjoys functional fitness training and buying cat toys for a three-legged cat named Biscuit.
