Neurology Operating Room Technician

Gulf Coast Veterinary Neurology + Neurosurgery is uniquely equipped to treat a wide range of neurologic disorders and performing neurosurgeries. With advanced Imaging (MRI & CT), we can help our clients find the best solutions for making their pets comfortable again. Our small team accepts applications from LVTs or recent technician program graduates for full-time Operating Room Technician positions. Our Operating Room Technicians work very closely together as a team. They are responsible for maintaining medical, anesthesia, surgery records/logs, anesthesia induction and maintenance, surgical preparation of patients, circulating in the operating room, scrubbing in to assist during surgical procedures, immediate pre, and post-operative treatments, and recovery of surgery patients. Our technicians manage their cases with a variety of pre and post-op medication protocols. They continuously monitor their patients during surgery or MRIs with the assistance of pulse oximetry, ECG, capnography, Doppler blood pressure, and perform sterile assisting duties. Requirements: Applicants must be graduates of an AVMA approved Veterinary Technology Program and must obtain their LVT status within one year of employment. Out of state license, transfers must be completed with 6 months.  Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
