Neurology Operating Room Technician

Gulf Coast Veterinary Neurology + Neurosurgery is uniquely equipped to treat a wide range of neurologic disorders and performing neurosurgeries. With advanced Imaging (MRI & CT) we are able to help our clients find the best solutions for making their pets comfortable again.   Our small team is accepting applications from LVTs or recent technician program graduates for full time Operating Room Technician positions. Our Operating Room Technicians work very closing together as a team and are responsible for maintenance of medical, anesthesia, and surgery records/logs, anesthesia induction and maintenance, surgical preparation of patients, circulating in the operating room, scrubbing in to assist during surgical procedures, immediate pre and post-operative treatments and recovery of surgery patients. Our technicians manage their cases with a variety of pre and post-op medication protocols. They continuously monitor their patients during surgery or MRIs with the assistance of pulse oximetry, ECG, capnography, Doppler blood pressure, and perform sterile assisting duties.   If you are energetic, enthusiastic and really enjoy anesthesia and surgery – please apply today, we would love to have you join the Neuro team.   Requirements: Applicants must be graduates of an AVMA approved Veterinary Technology Program and must obtain their LVT status within one year of employment.
