Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is a referral-only veterinary specialty practice that provides the highest quality and most comprehensive specialized care for companion animals through various specialized departments to customize care to our patients and their pet families.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate MRI technologist that is eager to learn.

The MRI technologist must work in a large team environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, be eager to learn the “whys” behind skills, and be adaptable to changing situations quickly. The primary job duties for this position include MRI imaging of small animal patients with various applications.

Our MRI technologists work alongside our board-certified team of specialists to obtain the best diagnostic images needed to plan surgical procedures and diagnose patients.

Shift availability: Monday-Friday 8-hour shift afternoon to the late evening; this position has periodic on-call duties for afterhours emergency surgery requiring arrival within 1 hour.

Requirements: Applicant must be reliable, able to work in a team environment, adaptable to quickly changing situations, and a self-starter. Good patient restraint and a loving disposition with animals are a must.

Education/licensing: This position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and Registered in Magnetic Resonance – R.T. (M.R.)
