Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists provides the highest quality, most comprehensive specialized care for companion animals using technologically advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment along with a group of dedicated veterinary specialists and staff in animal rehab & fitness, avian & exotics, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology, nutrition, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, and soft tissue surgery. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced receptionist to fill a permanent, full time position with our front office team. Our receptionists provide the client with their first impression of our practice, where their family and their pets will be assisted by a friendly, smiling, compassionate staff member. We realize the importance of this first impression and are looking for someone who can show our clients the compassion, attention, and the highest level of client service. Applicants must be able to handle multiple phone lines with grace and etiquette, possess good computer skills and knowledge of office equipment, and be organized, personable, quick thinking, and able to function efficiently in a high stress environment. Superior communication skills and excellent client service are paramount. All aspects of this position are performed in full view of the clients so a smiling face is a must. This position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and preferably 2 years experience working as a receptionist in a fast paced, multi-doctor medical practice (other client service experience can substitute).
