Chronic Arthritis Treated Conservatively With Pain Relief and Rest

Preoperative (top) and postoperative (bottom) radiographs of a dog with end-stage osteoarthritis and the prosthesis in place. Pain was unrelenting in spite of chronic pain relief medication. The dog was holding the leg up most of the time and walking on 3 legs.
