| Hip arthroscopy
can be used to evaluate the juvenile patient for degenerative changes
associated with hip dysplasia. The articular cartilage of dysplastic
hips can be assessed to determine if the patient is a candidate for
triple pelvic osteotomy surgery (TPO). In dogs with excessive
articular cartilage wear, a TPO is contraindicated and total hip
replacement is recommended. |
