Nancy Doyle, MPT

Rehabilitation & Fitness

Nancy D. Doyle, MPT received her master of physical therapy (MPT) degree from UTMB-Galveston and attained her physical therapist license in 1996. She practiced for six years in numerous facilities providing care to humans, including Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston while completing coursework and an internship through the University of Tennessee, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), and personal studies to prepare for her transition into the rehabilitation of animals. After years of informal collaboration, Nancy joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in 2002 to create and develop Gulf Coast Animal Rehabilitation and Fitness. Our Rehabilitation practice was the first established in the greater Houston region and among the first in the US, making Nancy one of the most experienced practitioners in the nation. She has published research and professional articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals and other publications. Nancy enjoys helping the diverse patient population seen at GCVS, from paralyzed dogs requiring intensive care, to world-class athletes recovering from surgery, and everything in between, especially well-loved furry family members of all species. Her time away from work frequently goes to the dogs as well: she enjoys training and showing her dogs in a variety of venues including agility, rally obedience, lure course, nosework, and conformation. She shares her home with her husband and three dogs: Jaci (a Cirneco dell’Etna), Rico (also a CdE) and Phoebe (the little French Bulldog who keeps the pack in line). “No-longer-so-feral-cat” Cream rounds out the bunch.

We have used Gulf Coast for several pet surgeries. Dr. Beale is an excellent DVM and Nancy Doyle is an exceptional Physical Therapist. My pet's outcome has been worth every penny.
