  • Dr. Wayne Whitney

    Dr. Wayne Whitney

    Dr. Wayne Whitney received his D.V.M. from Louisiana State University in 1982.  After one year of general practice in Houston, he completed a one-year internship and a three-year surgical residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York.  He became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1989.  Dr. Whitney was with Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists when its doors opened that same year. Dr. Whitney’s career has been primarily devoted to the development & advancement of canine arthroscopy, with continued special emphasis on improving techniques for the cranial cruciate injuries. Dr Whitney is a co-author of the industry-defining textbook, Small Animal Arthroscopy. Dr. Whitney has a heavy caseload in canine sports medicine including field trial and agility dogs. Dr. Whitney was featured in Nat Geo WILD's Animal ER in Fall 2016.

  • Dr. Brian Beale

    Dr. Brian Beale

    Dr. Brian Beale received his D.V.M. from The University of Florida in 1985.  He completed an internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C. and a surgical residency at The University of Florida.  He became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1991.  Dr. Beale was an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine prior to joining Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in 1992.  Dr. Beale is an adjunct assistant professor at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, and is a co-author of the industry-defining textbook, Small Animal Arthroscopy. Dr. Beale was featured in Nat Geo WILD's Animal ER in Fall 2016. Listen to Dr. Beale as he hosts Your Pet's Health on KTRH (AM 740) on Sunday nights at 8 p.m.!    

  • Dr. Caleb Hudson

    Dr. Caleb Hudson

    Dr. Caleb Hudson received his D.V.M. from the University of Missouri in 2007. He completed a rotating internship at the University of Florida in 2008, and remained at the University of Florida for a surgical residency, which he completed in 2012. Dr. Hudson achieved ACVS board-certification in 2013, and continued at the University of Florida as a clinical lecturer until moving to Texas to join the surgical team at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Hudson is a native of Louisiana, and specializes in soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, with a particular interest in minimally-invasive procedures. Dr. Hudson was featured in Nat Geo WILD's Animal ER in Fall of 2016.
