We offer 24-hour patient care and maintain a close working relationship with your family veterinarian, in order to promote the best possible Gulf Coast Veterinary Neurology & Neurosurgery is a 6,100-square-foot state-of-the-art referral-only practice specializing in the treatment of both medical and surgical neurological conditions, ranging from paralysis and seizures to neck and back pain. Our neurosurgical facility is designed to improve the quality, timeliness and continuity of patient care and is centrally located in an easy-to-access plaza on the Southwest Freeway just inside the 610 West Loop.
Our 1500 square-foot neuro-imaging suite includes:
• Digital radiology
• 4-slice helical CT
• 1.5 Tesla MRI with a wireless MEDRAD ® vital signs monitor
• MRI compatible anesthesia machines and fluid pumps
• Electrodiagnostic suite and onsite lab for cerebrospinal fluid analysis
To minimize the delay between diagnostics and surgery, we offer two dedicated neurosurgical operating suites within close proximity to our imaging suite.
All four of our neuro-patient exam rooms are equipped with high-resolution monitors, allowing you to quickly and easily review your pet’s diagnostic results.
Our neuro-intensive care unit allows continual monitoring to help ensure a successful recovery for our critical care patients and is staffed with highly-experienced support staff. Hospitalized patients receive 24-hour care. We work closely with our physical therapy department at our 1111 West Loop South location to provide the highest level of rehabilitation and aftercare.
