  • Dr. Randy Longshore

    Dr. Randy Longshore

    Dr. Randy Longshore received his D.V.M. from the University of Tennessee in 1992.  He completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery and a residency in neurology at the University of Missouri.  He became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Specialty of Neurology in 1997.  He practiced both veterinary medical neurology and neurosurgery exclusively with 2 other board certified neurologists in Phoenix, Arizona for 8 years. Dr. Longshore joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in 2004.

  • Dr. Carley Giovanella

    Dr. Carley Giovanella

    Dr. Carley Giovanella received her D.V.M. from Tufts University in 1999, followed by an internship at the University of Georgia.  Her residency in neurology and neurosurgery was completed at the University of Wisconsin and the Animal Health Trust in Newmarket, England.  Dr. Giovanella joined the faculty at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 as an assistant professor and clinical neurologist/neurosurgeon.  She became Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Specialty of Neurology in 2004.  She joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in 2005. Dr. Giovanella was featured in Nat Geo WILD's Animal ER in Fall of 2016.

  • Dr. Laura Vasquez

    Dr. Laura Vasquez

    Dr. Laura Vasquez received her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University in 2007.  She completed a small animal internship, a neurology/neurosurgery residency, and a master’s in biomedical sciences at the University of Missouri in 2011.  Her research involving the development of electrodiagnostic techniques in dogs won the 2010 ACVIM Forum Resident Research Award in Neurology.  Dr. Vasquez became board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) in 2011.  Throughout her travels, she has remained a Texan and has returned to her roots by joining the Gulf Coast Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery team in August 2011.  Her interests are neurodegenerative disorders such as canine degenerative myelopathy. Dr. Vasquez was featured in Nat Geo WILD's Animal ER in Fall of 2016.
