New clinical trial for dogs with diarrhea caused by inflammatory bowel disease begins at GCVS

Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists is conducting a clinical trial for the investigation of a novel therapy for diarrhea associated with inflammatory bowel disease. Inert clay substances have been used in veterinary and human medicine to reduce the severity and frequency of chemotherapy-associated diarrhea, and may be of benefit in reducing clinical signs associated with IBD as well. If you have a canine patient that you are referring for possible endoscopic biopsy of the GI tract, he or she may be eligible for enrollment in this study. For additional information, please feel free to contact drmcalister@gcvs.com, or ask your client to inquire about study participation at their initial appointment.
