Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists sponsored the Houston Cat Club's 58th Annual Charity Cat Show on January 9-10, 2010.
On January 9-10, 2010 Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists sponsored the Houston Cat Club’s 58th Annual Charity Cat Show at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Proceeds benefitted area animal charity groups, including The Houston SPCA, Citizens for Animal Protection, the Homeless Pet Placement League, The Houston Humane Society and The Winn Feline Foundation. Events and activities included competitions for pedigreed and household cats, and awards for the best cat costumes and tricks. In addition veterinary experts were available to answer health questions and authors Amy D. Shojai, Carole Nelson Douglas and Dusty Rainbolt were available to sign copies of their books on cat related subjects. Special guest of the Cat Show was Dr. John R. August, Professor of Feline Internal Medicine at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Editor in Chief of Consultations in Feline Internal Medicine.
