Q.
How can I make an appointment to see a specialist at GCVI?
A.
In order to schedule an appointment, you must be referred by your
veterinarian. Typically, they will call us to go over the medical
information. Then, either
you or your vet will schedule an appointment with us.
Q.
Why is my vet referring me?
A.
There are instances where your veterinarian may feel that your pet will
require advanced diagnostics or intensive care that he/she may not be
equipped to provide. We are fortunate to be able to offer our patients
special diagnostic options, consultation with other specialists as well
as 24hour care in an intensive care setting.
Q.
What if my pet is a patient at GCVI and is having problems at home
related to the condition for which he is being seen?
A.
If you are concerned that your pet is not doing well or have questions
regarding his/her treatment, please dont hesitate to call. We will be
happy to answer your questions or schedule a time for you to bring your
pet in.
Q.
Will you talk to my veterinarian about my pets condition?
A.
We feel that you, your veterinarian and GCVI are all part of your
pets health care team. Once we have seen your pet here at GCVI, we
fax information over to your veterinarian so that they can keep their
medical records up to date. We also consult with your veterinarian by
phone as needed throughout the course of your pets treatment.
Q.
May I visit my pet in the hospital?
A.
Absolutely. Normal visiting hours are between 10am and 6pm and can be
scheduled with our technicians.
